Barbara Pickens' Pecan Pie

1 C brown sugar
1/4  C  white sugar
1/2  C  butter
2 eggs
1 T all purpose flour
1 T milk
1 t vanilla extract
1 C of chopped nuts
pecan halves to decorate top

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
In a large bowl beat eggs until foamy and stir in melted butter, then stir in the brown sugar, white sugar and the flour.  Mix well.  then stir in milk vanilla and nuts.
Pour into an unbaked pie shell, decorate with pecan halves and Bake at 400 degrees for 10 mins., then reduce temperature to 350 degrees and bake 30 -40 mins.  Cover edges of crust with aluminum foil;  gently shake the pie to see if the custard is set at 25 - 30 mins, depending on your ovens cooking temperature.  Watch carefully the last few minutes to avoid over cooking!
