Cheese Krispie Cookies

These are dainty and pretty for a tea or shower.

1/2 lb sharp cheddar cheese, grated 
1/2 lb butter 
2 C flour 
2 1/2 C Rice Krispies 
1/2 t cayenne pepper

Mix the cheese and the butter, then, with your hands mix all the remaining ingredients until fairly uniformly mixed. Roll into walnut sized balls, flatten each a little and place on a lightly greased baking sheet. Bake at 350F for 15 minutes. Cool on racks. Store in fridge or freeze. 
If frozen, defrost in fridge before reheating, then reheat in 400F for 5-7 minutes. 
Yields: 48 cookies
